Happy 2nd Anniversary Miss Bebe!

Celebrating our 2nd anniversary with little princess Bebe!  She's 4 years old and has lived with us for two.  She's a ray of sunshine and lots of fun!  She is a giant cuddle bear, loves computers, lounging around and long walks.  Her favorite things include healthy hound dog biscuits, her lion and snoopy toys, and running down the hallway, including leaping and bounding like a rabbit!  She doesn't like any sort of dog clothing but likes pretty collars.  Yay for Bebe!

Ms IT at work

Bebe is often called Ms IT (IT is an acronym for information technology).  She is Ms. IT because she loves all computers - whether they are desktops or laptops.  Of course her favorite part is the keyboard.  She likes to lay her head on it.  here are a few shots of Ms IT hard at work at the Mister's computer station.  They share computers, and only when he is not around:-).  When he is around, she hangs out on the ottoman under the desk...I'll get a photo of that soon I am sure!

Ms IT is lery agile - almost like a cat and she jumps here, there, and everywhere.  These are definitely not staged shots for those who are asking!

oh oh...busted!  making her way back down!

Doggie makeover

Inspired by these before and after photos of dogs entering the Green Dog beauty salon in Tokyo, I thought I would do a before and after of little bebe as well.
Here's Bebe....

Bath time for Bebe

Nice and clean after her bath!

You would hardly recognise these pampered pets if you hadn't seen them before their makeovers.
They were all more straggly haired and dishevelled versions of themselves when they walked into the Green Dog beauty salon in Tokyo - where mud packs, massages and aromatherapy are also on the menu.
Following a shampoo pet and dry, these dogs look as good as new.

Cutey pie

Bebe's very clean and shiny...this picture is after her spa day where her coat got deep conditioning and all of her knots were trimmed.  I took her out on a long walk where she smelled the flowers, tried to eat food off the sidewalk (the "leave it" command seems to work), and said hello to our neighbor who is a volunteer for the Central Park Rose Garden.  She is tired out but has a mischievous glimmer in her eye...we are still working on trying to trim her nails.

Bebe loves her bed

A few of you have asked how little Bebe is doing since her debut about 6 weeks ago.  Here's some photos of our lovely furry friend in her bed.  It's quite rare to catch her on her bed as she likes to sneak up on us around the house.  Her favorite pastimes include playing with her toys, dancing for treats, sunning by the window, and popping up in unexpected places!

A rare quiet moment for Bebe

Can't a girl get some rest without the flash in my face?

I'm rolling around & having fun!

Project: Easy yarn pull toy for dogs

Here's a quick project you can make that will provide oodles of fun for you and your furry friend.
Materials: Yarn - I used Lionbrand thick and quick
Use  3 different colors for easy braiding.  I started out with only 2 colors but I am not an expert braider and got confused quickly so I did 3 different colors instead and it worked out much better.
Instructions:
1. Cut about eleven pieces of yarn 24 inches long from each color.  You will have a total of 33 pieces of yarn.
 2. Take all 33 pieces and tie a big knot.  Then start braiding the yarn together. save room at the bottom to tie another big knot.  Voila!  Your yarn pull toy is complete and ready for action!
step 1 - notice furry paw in picture

Step 2 - braiding complete & about to tie final knot

Doggie play date

We've had Bebe for about a week now.  Today she got her official dog tag (she was borrowing a tag with our address before), and she met one of her first dog friends in the area - Pepper the miniature schnauzer.  here are a few pictures of them meeting and hanging out.

Today's Project...

Welcome to Bebe Buttons!  She's a cute and fluffy malti-poo who has been with us since 3 pm today.  We're testing her out for a week, and hope to be her forever home.  We're trying to get her comfortable, and she's been keeping me company while I make some soap for a swap this Saturday.
