Not so yummy green drink

Okay, I tried to make a green drink in a blender today and as you can see not all the green leaves were blended nicely into the drink.  This particular green drink had a banana, vanilla flavored soy milk, one medjool date, spinach, and kale leaves.  If I had mixed it in a more powerful blender, I'm sure it would have tasted a lot better!  The date was kind of chunky and sunk to the bottom.  Not wanting to waste all the healthful benefits, I did finish this drink, but I think I will need to get a more powerful blender, or start using the champion juicer again.

Yoda Cake pops

Yoda cakepop photo from Rosie K.
My talented friend Rosie made some yoda cake pops recently, using red velvet and chocolate as the base.  With a toothpick she hand scored all the wrinkles, since we all know that yoda is old and wrinkled!  I love her attention to detail and these are really cute!  She mentioned that she made more than 20 of these and each yoda had a different facial expression!  Check out her post for more photos and details!

Six Layers of Goodness

Six Layers of cookies

My mom recently sent these yummy cookies - what a thoughtful and lovely surprise!  her cookies are the toast of the town, and while I would love to eat them all - there are 6 other cookie monsters I need to share them with!

In case you can't tell, the top and bottom two layers are the same - chocolate chip cookies, which are perennial favorites!

The 2nd picture features the top of the box - 10 yummy chocolate chip cookies.  The 2nd layer of cookies is a less sweet cookie with orange zest on top - I think they may be sugar cookies with less sugar or something.  The 3rd layer featured sea salt chocolate on top, and the 4th layer was the same cookie base but with a raspberry thumbprint.  The 3rd picture at the bottom shows the 4 cookie varieties on one plate!
The top layer features chocolate chip
